Preparing for Bulk Trash Pickup
Mattresses and Box springs:
Due to health risks for Republic employees, when disposing of old mattresses and box springs, you must wrap both items in plastic or it will NOT be collected.
Furniture:
When you’re getting rid of old items like sofas and chairs, simply leave it assembled.
Special Items – Televisions/Electronics/Construction Debris/Etc.:
Televisions/electronics will NOT be picked up as well as items containing CFC’s and Freon. Additionally, paint, automotive items, batteries, construction debris and hazardous waste should not be included with regular household trash. These all require special disposal. Large Appliances:
Remove doors from appliances like refrigerators and washing machines.
Bulk items typically include:
- Couches
- Lamps
- Rugs
- Mattresses
- Large Appliances without Freon
It is each homeowner’s responsibility to schedule bulk pickup and not the Association.
